Within a week of using this bag, the stitches around this bag started loosening, and then parts of the bag tore away from the seams. I had high expectations given the popularity, but popularity must be based on "Oprah effect" alone. When packed it is difficult to wear on your shoulders and there is no crossbody strap. The top pockets are too small to be too useful. The lining seemed cheap too & mesh does not last long. I seriously have no idea why this bag is popular when it so obviously has substandard materials and construction.

I purchased this bag about two weeks before it went on a certain talk-show hosts "favorite somethings" list about 3 years ago. It is simply the best bag ever for travel - well organized, easy access to all pockets, separate shoe compartment, and the magnetic pocket in front is ideal for cruising through TSA checkpoints with your laptop and liquids bags at your fingertips. It's been all over the USA, Mexico and Europe and for almost 1000 days shows little wear and tear. I recommend the grey - great neutral color. My only desire is that they make some sort of alternative for a backpack conversion or longer strap to wear cross body, but knowing Lug's innovative nature, it's surely only a matter of time.

This bag is not strong enough for its size. After a couple of weeks of using it the nylon split at the handles and the lining ripped. I sent Lug an email as I had bought it directly from them and no reply. This bag is very flimsy. DONT buy it.

I have had this bag for almost a year and use it regularly. I LOVE it! I think the quality is fantastic and it still looks brand new after tons of use. I definitely haven't had bad experience like the other reviewer. It is fabulous!!!

I thought this bag would solve all my travel problems--carry a thin laptop, in-flight necessities, and a change of clothes.
But after only a couple of short trips, the nylon began to rip on one side. I emailed the company with photos, but received no reply.
In addition, the nylon straps are very slippery, so they don't stay on my shoulder well. They're also a little bit too long, so I can't hold the bag securely in place with my elbow and upper arm while I walk--the bag is always slipping forward.
It probably works fine as a plain old gym bag, toting stuff back and forth to your car. But for actual travel through airports and lots of walking, it is not useful at all. I just bit the bullet and got a less-cool but more functional Buxton laptop tote.
